Maybe it's a constant thing. When Asia was rich they needed to create excuses to invade. When Asia was poor, they needed excuses to victim blame. When Asia was strong, they needed excuses to invade it.
I wish things had been different.

Positive reinforcement. East Asians are the only morons on earth stupid enough to reward their enemies for spitting on their face.
Perhaps a big part of this has to do with the British Empire not giving up Hong Kong until 1997. Colonialism is literal white worship, and it's a tall order to reject more than a century of cultural brainwashing in just two decades.
I'd have some faith. Assuming global climate change doesn't end the world as we know it by 2050, I think the Chinese will shake it off and start winning the cultural war. Trump is doing a great job of showing the world the true face of white America.
Not that does Asian-Americans today much good. In the near-term, the situation probably gets worse, and the only reasonable advice I can offer is emigrating, especially if you plan on having kids.
Our lives are such tiny, inconsequential things. We'll both probably be dead in seventy years, with most of the good parts of life over in the next twenty. I'd try not to get too down about these things. It's all temporary.
