New study finds that people consistently underestimate how much others appreciate having an old friend unexpectedly reach out to them.

An old friend just reached out to me about a month ago and ever since we have been playing PS5 games together every single day (we're both retired). First thing in the morning I grab my coffee and then text him, we're both very similar and have known each other a looooong time, we both talked about how we were gonna talk to our therapists about each other cause we've been having such a good time.

We both live alone so the company has been great for both of us, I couldn't be happier we started playing games together. The best part though is we picked up right where we left off, it wasn't awkward and we totally ripped at each other. Anyway, I'm gonna go play with him right now!
