New study showing again that being trans is a biological condition and not a choice

Put it this way: I didn't choose to have debilitating dysphoria. I chose to change my gender identity and expression in response to the dysphoria. So no, I absolutely did choose to be trans in the way a transphobe would accuse us of doing, but yeah, I did kind of choose to be trans insofar as I chose to transition. The way someone with nearsightedness chooses to correct that with glasses or contacts or surgery. And I think, like nearsightedness, like anxiety, like athletic skill, like extraversion, like diabetes, like addiction, like almost every human characteristic, dysphoria has a combination of genetic and environmental factors that causes it. It great we have scientists working on this subject, but I just don't think we ought to stake our validity on lab results! Sorry about the snideness of my previous comments, it's been a long day.
