Story in a nutshell

There is a battle over the planet Jakku. A Star Destroyer commanded by Princess Leia is attacked. Leia, her two children, Han and Luke are also aboard. They being to escape via the Falcon, but the children cannot be found. They are elsewhere on the ship. They are forced to leave without them.

Rey is the lone survivor of the crashed Star Destoyer from years prior. Her innate ability with the Force is what saved her. She was not abandoned, but feared dead.

Kylo, Rey's brother was also abroad that doomed ship but was kidnapped/rescued by a mysterious character.

Finn is a Storm Trooper with a conscience. Since the clones are a closed chapter, the risk with the First Order is having possible AWOL Troopers such as Finn.

Poe is imprisoned by Kylo aboard a Star Destroyer when Finn frees him. Poe expresses is gratitude and befriends the young defect.

Snoke is the leader of the First Order and an ancient being whose life is holding on by a thread. He is the one who kidnapped/raised young Kylo. He imparts his wisdom to him. Kylo vows to continue what Snoke began and kills him at his request.

Hux is tasked with running the Political agenda, post Snoke but is killed when Starkiller base is destroyed. [His predecessor will be played by Benicio Del Toro in the fourth coming Episode 8.]
