New York governor's top aide admits administration delayed the release of Covid-19 deaths in long-term care facilities over federal investigation concerns

New York City and the surrounding areas were also basically the first places in the U.S. hit hard by the pandemic, and there's been increasing evidence the virus was here in January and February. I personally got "unexplained community spread double pneumonia" around this time last year, and ended up hospitalized for 5 days, after a week of trying to recover at home. And I had a massive spike in liver enzymes at the same time too. Never got tested, but basically every medical professional I've talked to is sure I had it.

On many things it's easy to look back now and say "oh wow that's so stupid", but then you realize we had this thing festering and growing silently for a month plus in the most densely populated part of the country.

Maybe don't write a book until shit has actually been figured out; but the fact that the epicenter of the virus has a high death count because they were the first exposed and were uniquely poised to spread it easily needs to be taken into consideration.
