New York Times: Bernie Sanders' plan to fight climate emergency is too ambitious, slightly Trumpy. The paper of record compares Sanders' ambitious climate plan to Trump's border wall in deeply misleading report.

I didn’t make the comparison... I pointed out why the journalist did. We need an extreme plan for climate change... the journalist gave a compliment masked as a smear because they invoked the name of someone they know progressives hate. Why not point out that their attempt to insult is by some logic a compliment. They’re never going to stop smearing, if that’s the best they can do then why be pissed off. People are jumping down my throat for simply trying to shine a different light on something. Their using Trumpy as a synonym for extreme and we need an extreme climate plan so we should embrace it. Trumps wall didn’t get built but he got tons of money funneled into the boarder. I agree that accomplishing part of an extreme plan is likely to be more productive than a less extreme plan that doesn’t do anything. I shared my background so people would maybe see past the part that when I don’t just instinctively bash everyone who isn’t an extreme progressive doesn’t mean I’m not for the most extreme progressive plans especially when it comes to climate change. Why would you assume that I in any way share the viewpoint of the article writers and their smear intentions just because I can see the logic they’re invoking in their use of one made up word? My whole point is it’s a made up word and that means we can spin it right back as a positive if we don’t get pissy about it.
