This is so common with people, too.

"I'm not one of those crazy vegans or anything, but meat is killing our planet and the sooner we stop relying on it, the better. We have to do something before it's too late. So they're not wrong about that. Again, I'm not insane. I still eat meat 6 times a day and love bacon and will never consider changing because vegans are crazy, but at least I understand that eating meat is extremely bad for the environment and it's getting worse, so I have that going for me, which is good. Again, I want to say that I love bacon and I'm not vegan. Please don't think I'm vegan. That's embarrassing and I have to keep mentioning I'm not vegan because I'm afraid people will accidentally associate me with that filth."
