Firstly, thank you. I have been a lurker on the Poetry sub for the past few weeks and have read some really amazing poems.
I wanted to share that I have started a new YouTube channel focussed on poetry (and electric skateboarding to a certain degree!) called Sk8oetry.
A little background - I read stories and the occasional poem for a well known children's website and have always wanted to break loose and have my own poetry channel on the side (hence the change of name to RonnyB!)
I have recently launched so there are only 4 poem videos up at the moment on Sk8oetry but I'm very much looking forward to making more.
I know the channel won't be everyone's cup of tea. It is not high brow but I hope that my enthusiasm for poetry appeals and the backdrop of me electric skateboarding in different parts of London behind the poem interests some people as well.
I would love to hear people's feedback on the channel. I am just getting started and feedback at the moment will really help me for my future videos.
The poems up currently are:
"London" - William Blake (skip to 2:02 for the poem)
"If" - Rudyard Kipling
"Travel Light" - Diane Cluck and Jeffrey Lewis (this is a song read as a poem)
"The Charge of the Light Brigade" - Tennyson
I hope you enjoy!
