I don't know about you, but I can't trust myself to actually start and finish building a kit in a reasonable amount of time. I've bought lots of different kinds of kits (not guitar kits though) and I never finish any of them, and most of them I haven't even started. Don't buy it if you're like that too. I heard that making a guitar from a kit takes a LOT of work, so you might get tired of working on it at some point. Despite what I said, I'm still tempted to buy a guitar kit. I like the idea of painting it any way I like and putting in any parts I like. But then again I have tons of other things I need to do with my time, so I really shouldn't be trying to spend my time building a guitar. Also most people's kit guitars I've seen, they don't look anywhere near as good as factory made guitars.
