Newbie Thursday (11th of June, 2015) - Your weekly questions thread!

  1. Only if the rest of your team have bought, and your team doesn't have too many already.. generally 3 awps is too much, 2 is fine

  2. If you really can't afford a few nades with your armor, maybe just buy the essentials and save some money for next round. Learning economy is a big thing for CS:GO - understand what you are doing with your money so it's not needlessly wasted. IE: You buy an M4A1 and armor, your team all decide to eco and not buy anything this round. Chances are you just wasted your money and you'll have to be on pistol next round when your team buy.

  3. Pistol rounds are different because there's not as many long-range weps around and no one really has armor. As T generally rush with your team if you don't know what you're doing, as CT make sure your rotate as fast/safely as you can if the enemy rushes the other site.

  4. Deagle pistol round... I don't, but I guess others could. I prefer P250, Flash, Smoke on CT or Tec9 + Smoke on T.

  5. Helmet protects a lot of head damage from smaller weapons. Some weapons are instant headshot no matter what like the AK47, AWP and Scout. M4A1-Silenced will never 1-hit a person with a helmet though, and SMGs and pistols are the same. The Desert Eagle can actually 1-pop people through a helmet, which is nice, and I believe the FiveSeven too. Some pistols are 1-shot headshot depending on the distance to the enemy.

  6. Probably not, they'll just see you coming slowly round the corner and shoot first. Shift-walk if you need to be quiet...

  7. sv_showimpacts 1 in console I think?

  8. Not working with the team and communicating, not controlling economy and using grenades properly...

  9. Just watch what your team buys, if no one buys any rifles then you don't buy either... if they do, pick something you can afford. Always remember it's better to go Galil + Nades + Armor rather than AK and Nades but no armor...
