Newbie Tuesdays

im eating pretty close to maintenance as my scale weight doesn't change although I try to eat a few hundred surplus(I'm working on the numbers) I don't know exactly how many fats/carbs I'm consuming, but I get enough protein. I realize they impact training and energy levels, but my guesstmate is that I'm not skimping out on them? ? Do you think that could be whats affecting my lifts? New program is nsuns while squatting 2x a week, but its not making me stronger even with the additional volume. I plan to make my diet more strict in the future, but if there are common newbie failures that you know of I would really appreciate hearing why most people's lifts regress
