Newcastle United Saudi Takeover MEGATHREAD Part II

The way I see it is we tried getting Ashley out for the best part of 13 years. Is the sale a result of fan protests? We’ll never know. But it’s evident that fan protests make next to no difference in an owners eyes. So if this takeover goes through, say we don’t want it, the Saudis are here for a long time now, you don’t just buy a club for a few years, so does that mean we all have to walk away from our club forever?

I was a boycotter and thought maybe I was making a difference, then I realised it made no difference at all. There’s nothing we can do about it so we may as well support our team now.

Another important point is the British Government class them as an ally and do trade with them. How come the media condone that but then condemn Newcastle fans?
