But really, I think Kim Jong-Un is the best shot the country has at maturing into more than a communist slaveforce for a single family and their cohorts. He was schooled in Switzerland, seems to be extremely intelligent (albeit spoiled, i.e. Dennis Rodman). But he spent most of his childhood away from his father and learning from a Western institution. He's either going to be a spoiled brat for his ruling years and allow the miltary despots to have control, or he's going to wait for them to die out and then start steering the country into a better place. He's already pushing for more freedom in the North Korean market. We Western folk tend to be impatient and I've heard many people say abroad in the US that they can't wait for the CIA to whack Kim Jong-Un, or even better, they can't wait for it to be a "glass desert," or whatever sensationalist garbage they want to hear. Westerners alive today are not used to dealing with international conflicts without war.

I'll put it this way; right now, Kim Jong-Un is pushing DPRK towards a little bit of capitalism to stimulate the economy. When that underground vault of his starts filling up again, do you think he's going to push away billions of dollars and support from the global community so he can impress his dead father who abandoned him at a school in Europe?

Also, Kim Jong-Il literally made state-sanctioned meth and had it distributed. He gets more praise than his son, but he made the working population into crippled addicts and now in DPRK they take it as a cureall because its so readily available and the authorities dont care.
