No one is saying the news stations are ignorant. Ignorance implies that you are doing it out of stupidity or lack of knowledge. That's not the case here. They are doing this very deliberately and that is very dangerous.
Just on a personal note tho, I disagree with your comment outright. BLM are upset that the police are killing black people. In my city, Chicago, there is a law that says that police officers must live within city limits. After a quick google search, it looks like the same law applies in NYC and many of the other densely populated US cities. So if youre mad at the cops, and all the cops live in the city, the please explain how its more rational to go burn the suburbs everytime a urbanite cop unjustly kills a person of color?
Im understand that your heart is in the wrong place, but you need to understand that this isnt just harmless ignorance that these news outlets are dishing out. These are serious matters that greatly affect how americans look at each other. I wholeheartedly agree that we need massive police reform and we need to do everything we can to stop these fucking killings. But burning or looting anything, anywhere, is only hurting the cause and making more racists and turning would-be allies into foes. We need change, but this is not the way. And so we must condemn those that advocate for violence no matter who or where.
