Remembering Those Lost.

<<The feed opens with the typical Horizon fanfare, the bright gold 'HNN’ logo flying into view, before transitioning to a brunette elven woman.>>

Good evening, I'm Esperanza Falcone and welcome to Horizon News Network . We open tonight on a candlelight vigil for the victims of the Seattle Slicer. Today marks the twenty fifth anniversary of the capture of Brad Forest, the infamous serial killer who terrorized Seattle for nearly nearly six months claiming twelve innocent lives.

We had the chance to speak with Cheryl Wainwright, daughter of Gladys Wainwright, one of the first of the Slicers victims. Cheryl had this to say...

The feed cuts to show a well dressed human woman around 50 years old outside of a Bellevue Chapel. She stands amongst a crowd, candle in hand. Behind her an AR mural cycles through pictures of the known victims

“Well , after all this time it's….it’s still hard to come to terms with mom’s death. When it first happened I was just so angry. Not just at the monster who did it. But it felt like every day it was someone new and no one was doing anything. Months and months of nothing but more people dead and the Lone Star couldn't protect us and that first detective was just a joke. When Agent Dawkins from the FBI took over well...well she was just a godsend. The pain that came from losing mom is always going to be there but I've slept better after Agent Dawkins put him away.”

<<The feed returns to Esperanza in the studio>>

I think we can all agree with that, Special Agent Dawkins could not be reached for comment but we here at HNN would like to personally offer our thanks for her years of community service.

We will be right back after a word from our sponsors.

For Horizon News Network, I'm Esperanza Falcone.
