Arrow has always been a bit more serious--so they have a hard fight with stuff like that.
Flash, however, needs to take note from Legends and Flash's earlier seasons and just lean into the campier stuff rather than trying to take itself too seriously.
Part of what made Flash good from the get-go was how they didn't try to be serious. Right out of the gate they had Grodd, time travel, and all that stuff. They need to go back to embracing that.
Although I did like that they finally did a non speedster--they blew their wad on speedsters. But the arc got sloppy and old by the end.
Hopefully it tightens up this season but I won't get too hopeful
