Pertinent to you, we had a good and informed discussion on the US election (basically on that I think the best, and likely, outcome for the US is a Biden presidency with a Republican House)

He only told me halfway thru the date that was an MP.

I genuinely got the feeling that he felt like I was undermining the messaging he had been working hard on (well he said as much). Which really is fair enough - especially if you’re in a brand new role. So I can’t fault him for his thought process there.
