It's the arrogance that gets me. Macron in the news again for saying that the UK has its future intertwined with Europe because of history and geography.

It's honestly like the stages of grief - 'they'll never vote leave, well ok, but they'll never carry it through, well ok, but it will be closely aligned and Brexit in name only, well ok they're not EEA-lite, they'll come back one day though!'

I believe they call this stage denial. Does Australia need an economic and political union with Indonesia because they're in the same geographical sphere? What about Central America and the United States? Surely the EU will incorporate Russia any day now then?

He has his faults, and I have complained about him, but Boris has pulled off what once seemed impossible and to be fair I think pretty much anybody else would have buckled and we'd have the 'cabinet of both sides' and some sort of fudged EEA membership.

Sometimes when you make a big decision you have to go all in, I'm so relieved we're out after whatever the fuck that was yesterday.
