can't argue with that logic but what i said isn't necessarily false.
there is a straight forward option, buy more crates. RNG in this case has a limiting factor
the more you purchase the higher the likelihood for duplicates -> crown gems -> exclusives.
do we know the crown gem cost of exclusives or their drop rate?
say exclusives were sold at 5000 crowns. you could purchase 12 crates or buy it outright. i would still choose the crates because by the time you've opened twelve you own a large portion of the available items and have a high chance for duplicates thus it may become more economic in the long run.
instead of spending 20000 crowns on 4 exclusives the crates could get you there for less money.
it's not ideal, i think being able to scrap any existing CS items for crown gems would be a better system but there are problems with that as well.
i do understand where you're coming from, i just don't think its reasonable to be so fiercely opposed to this system before we even see it in action.
