I'm not sure how you get that secular people don't value family

The fact that they've been doing everything in their power to break up the traditional family unit? Do you think the current epidemic of single parent households is just pure coincidence? It comes from decades of anti-family policy aimed at reducing social cohesion.

It's based on tradition and rationality

There's nothing traditional or rational about how modern society views morality.

“Decadence in modern mass multicultural societies begins at a moment when there is not longer any discernible meaning within society. He no longer rejoices in the secure belief that he shares in a heritage which it is part of his common duty to protect - he no longer feels that he has anything in common with those around him. In short, he feels lonely and oppressed. Since all values have become personal, everything is now equal to everything; e.g., nothing equals nothing.”
