The next episode. S4E9 "Wiedersehen," is directed by Vince Gilligan

So yeah the Lalo revelation made me finally dip back into Breaking Bad, and Saul's introduction in 2x08.

It's actually startling how far away we still are from Saul's INTRODUCTION in Breaking Bad. He suggests murder as a possible solution to Walt's problem, he actively seeks out Walt at his school as a way of profiting from his meth business, and introduces him to ways he can reduce the heat from the cops.

It's also very clear now how much everything he did as Saul was an act, as opposed to when I was watching Breaking Bad, viewing him purely as comic relief. Everything he does is just so over-the-top. Also interesting to note, in regards to Kim, is that he openly flirts with Francesca. All part of Saul's persona, or a hint that him and Kim aren't in a relationship anymore?

Has anyone gone back and watched this episode and picked up anything else?
