The next step

I found the iKon Shavecraft #102 slant on a par with the Stealth in comfort and efficiency, so that's one possible alternative. And I think the MR8 handle would work great with the #102 head.

I was not aware of the iKon Shavecraft #102. Thank you. Looks like they are sold out at Maggard and Ikon. :(

But perhaps, for the time being, I will focus on working on my: prep, pressure and finding a blade that works best for me. I have the 75 blade/12 type sampler pack from Maggard so I've got quite a journey ahead of me! And besides, I'm also glad I ordered the TOBS 12 scent sampler pack because I have been eyeing TOBS for a while now and am quickly coming to realize it would have been a terribly expensive ordeal to attempt to purchase several of their creams without trying them first. And I am also coming to realize that I am more fond of some than others, which is what I anticipated. But I am also keeping a log of each (cream) sample as I use them. Still stuck on the Astra Superior Stainless Double Edge, 3 shaves in. Probably 1 more shave and then switching but can't really offer an opinion as of yet since it is my first blade ever.

Really enjoying the wet shave experience so far though.

On a side note: just visited your blog and I want to say, thank you for reviewing the Parker 24C; I was waiting to hear your thoughts. Mainly I wanted to know the difference between the 24C and and the 26C and also, I've been leaning more toward the 24C since I don't want too many black razors, I already (will) own the Standard (black). And from what your review suggests, the 24C seems a tad more refined and I prefer the silver to the black on the 26C.

And on a further side note: the one thing I have not invested in yet when it comes to wet shaving is a good aftershave. I am interested in trying out the Fine aftershaves but am wondering, what is the purpose/effect of a good aftershave. If it is simply for the olfactory experience, I have already amassed quite a collection of EDT and EDP products. Furthermore, I also will soon be getting some Thayer's Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel and will probably be using an Alum block from time to time. Is an aftershave just, essentially, an amalgamation of all three: a fragrance and astringent?
