The Men's Rights movement is garbage. It is everything its critics say it is.

It markets itself as a way of addressing inequalities effecting men, but in actuality it's just a smoke-screen for anti-feminism. The fundamental basis isn't to address men's concerns like feminism addresses women's concerns, but to propagate the idea that women have it better overall and therefore feminism needs to stop.

It constantly bemoans greater conviction rates for men, high rates of suicide, drafting, but unlike feminists, who have constantly run practical, on the ground support systems, charities, and organized themselves to enact political change, MRA's don't do shit, because their goal is not to solve those problems, their goal is nothing more than to callously use those problems as leverage to make women shut up about women's issues, that they almost invariably view as illegitimate of fictitious.

It's not a rights movement of any kind, it's a reaction against a rights movement, and relies on what it's reacting against for fuel. If feminism vanished overnight, the mens rights movement dissolve. The same is not true in reverse.

Maybe a movement could develope that operates as what the Men's Rights movement claims to be, but if it did it would be working with the feminists rather than devoting all its efforts to arguing with and disparaging them on the internet.
