NFL.com literally put an asterisk next to Tom Brady in this ranking of top QB's (#5)

It's a personal ranking, so you can put Brady wherever you want. The only way I'd put him higher is if you think Luck will tank next year so Wilson and Brady would move up. Brady looked HORRIBLE at the beginning of last year. He's not guaranteed to be great this year at all. Brady has done really well in his career, but he's getting up there in years. Maybe the writer assumed he'd be out 2 games this season, but would've had him at #3 if he was playing all 16 games who knows.

Brady wins games, but so does Wilson. So does Ben and Rodgers and Luck. All the QBs ranked higher than Brady have shown that they can win too. All the QBs ranked higher than Brady showed last year they were top tier, and none of those QBs are potentially facing up to a 4 game suspension. I'd also argue that Belichik has just as much to do with the wins as Brady. He's a solid QB in the system, but that system doesn't work the same without Belichik. Put Manning anywhere and he is still going to be the same guy. I wouldn't say Edelman is a household name either. Yeah everyone here knows him but everyone here knows most players. Gronk is well known because he is a freak of nature. Give Gronk to Wilson, Luck, Rodgers, or Ben and see how they do. The Patriots rotate RBs to fit the game plan. They didn't have a set RB to get every snap, they played who fit the plan best. That doesn't mean Brady is they key, it points toward Belichik again. Patriots were 18th in the league in rushing and 9th in passing. Pittsburgh was 2nd in passing and 16th in rushing (with arguably one of the best RBs in the league last year). Would you put Brady above Ben? Indy was 22nd in rushing and 1st in passing. Wouldn't that seem to mean Luck is a bigger deal than those two guys? Indy won games because of Luck; they had a pretty bad run game and were middle of the pack in defense (11th vs 13th for Pats and 18th for Pitt) but still got 11 wins in the regular season. Brady is 100% the better WINNING quarterback in his career than Wilson, Ben, Luck etc., but it's about one season. Next season Brady could be amazing and play all 16, or he could be amazing and play 12, or he could be average and let you down either way. Of COURSE Brady being gone makes the Patriots a different team, but you can say that about any of the other QBs on that list. Wilson probably has had the most to work with overall than any of the other QBs (#1 overall defense, #1 overall rushing in 2014), but he also has shown he can win. Wilson has 2 straight NFC titles, I don't know how people are so shocked that he makes someone's top 10. It's opinion. Maybe his list is perfect, maybe it's completely wrong. You won't know until the end of the 2015 season but it's crazy to think that you can't argue any of his selections in that list.
