NFTs are a scam

Sure, you’re not wrong. But like I said, one’s a digital asset that represents a form of media, while a common file isn’t. The value that the media may procure belongs to the token that represents it.

People do pay outrageous prices of what seems like a menial piece of art, but that’s not a problem exclusive to NFT’s. People already pay millions for a solid blue square painting, that anyone could reproduce with ease. It’s the same concept, but in digital form.

There’s a lot of great NFT’s that provide novelty and are just like any other collectible. The future is bright. But there are the one’s that you justifiably have reasons to call a scam, but if someone out there wants to spend million on a square, then I don’t see the harm in the equivalent being done digitally. Beauty is the eye of the beholder I guess.
