NHS provokes fury with indefinite surgery ban for smokers and obese - "The new rules increase the amount of weight the heaviest patients must lose - and crucially, they mean those who fail to lose weight or give up smoking could wait indefinitely"

It's called "Astro Turfing".

I'm not alleging that the Pharma Companies invented the idea of being against vaccines. I'm alleging that they actively fund modern Anti-Vaxxer campaigns, because it puts ALL CRITICISM of pharma companies in a bad light.

A few years ago, if somebody was critical of the Pharmeseutical companies, the average person in society thought they were a good person, who was just trying to help.

Fast forward a few years, and now, with the Anti-Vaxxer mover's antics being played on a loudspeaker, somebody who criticizes the Pharmeseutical Companies is often lampooned, or accused of being crazy.

The people criticizing the Pharmaceutical Companies haven't changed. It's the introduction of a prominent(and very misguided) anti-Vaxxer movement, that has caused the change.

You can totally support universal healthcare and criticize the revolving door between regulators and industry without anyone ever calling you an anti-vaxxer.

May be true. But it's a rare occurrence on Reddit. I've been accused of being anti-Vaxxer, for my anti Big Pharma stance, many times. Wanting greater regulation on all medicines(Including Vaccines) has become a position that's more controversial to hold in America, than nearly any other.
