Nice people may be at greater risk of bankruptcy and other financial hardships compared with their less agreeable peers, not because they are more cooperative, but because they don’t value money as much, according to research published by the APA (total n > 3 million).

I know that people are starting to hate the word "basic" as an insult, but I really wonder if there is some sort of correlation between "basicness" and "agreeableness", my suspicion being on that people that are more agreeable are more likely to "outsource" their thinking to other people, who outsource their thinking to other people as well, etc., all because they want to fit in, and care more about the integrity of their social connections than their own wellbeing.

Agreeableness is the grouping of many characteristics, and some of them may be good and bad in different situations. From wikipedia: "The lower-level traits, or facets, grouped under agreeableness are: TRUST, straightforwardness, altruism, COMPLIANCE, modesty, and tender-mindedness."
