'എത്രയെത്ര ജീവന്റെ മൊട്ടുകളെയാണ് ഈ കൈകൊണ്ട് അടർത്തി മാറ്റിയത്, അന്ന് ഇതൊന്നും തെറ്റായി കണ്ടില്ല'. Nice pro-life guilt tripping story about a gynaecologist who refuses to give essential health care service to her patients. Published in Manorama online portal.

A bit too late to the party ig.I think am starting to understand the perspective of prolifers but my problem is women can't conceive on their own. It requires a man ejaculating into them. Consent for sex and consent for impregnation are two very different things. And since it's the man's action (aka ejaculation) that leads to pregnancy, birth control should be a man's responsibility. This reckless action of not keeping his sperms to himself can lead to pregnancy that can have complications or at minimum cause pain to the woman. Here's the deal- we can think about criminalising abortion if we're willing to criminalise impregnating women who didn't consent to it. In that case, only men will be liable and should serve time for causing unwanted pregnancy and the resulting abortion ( abortion has its complications too). I'd second your stance if this is accepted.
