[Nicki] Broncos coach Vic Fangio was a guest on @peter_king's latest podcast and was asked if he, like John Elway, came away impressed by Joe Flacco's performance in voluntary minicamp:

I've seen a lot of people saying we will be lucky to win 6 games with him and hoping he's replaced after first year. To me that's not being a real fan, why would you expect us to fail? Maybe I'm the minority here but when I first heard we got Flacco I was excited. Why wouldn't we be excited to get a QB with a ton of talent who's won the SB? Do people forget Manning never won a SB in all those years yet he was regarded as the best QB around? He was at the end of his career and it showed with us. If we didn't have the defense we did Manning wouldn't have made it to the SB let alone win it. Flacco is in the middle of his career with a lot of good years left. If barely performing Manning can get us a SB win why wouldn't Flacco?
