Nietzsche once wrote, "He who has a why to live can bear almost any how." What is your why?

I’d like to give back to society in some way, I have some moonshot ideas about how to do that but basically most involve making money so I can have the resources to do them. I don’t just want to create a pile of cash and dump it off into some charity though, I want to build things that keep giving. I actually have opportunities in life that most people don’t have that make my dreams slightly more possible. I like money like anyone does but it’s not my main goal, it’s just a means to a larger goal for me. If I could just survive without having to be worried about money but still not being rich, that would be more than enough for me. I figure you only get one life so even if I shoot for the moon and miss I’ll land among the stars kind of deal.

My ideals are realistically very unlikely but if I do miss, there’s still a lot of good I can do. Why not dream big if you only get one chance to dream. I don’t want to be sitting in my death bed an old man wondering what would have happened if I just took the risks and tried. I want to try to give back in a big way which is both selfless and selfish because we all want to be valued as a member of society and ones contribution to society is the ultimate determination of value. We all want to climb the ladder of power and I know deep down I’m basically a good person. I’ll be damned if I let the Joffreys of the world rule because I’m the too honourable Ned stark. I’m gonna get in the muck, do the hard things, take the hard risks, go for the long shot, and see if I can make a difference. I’ll likely make a decent difference even if it is very far from my goal and like i said, you only got one life, why not go for the big moonshot.
