As nihilists, do you guys still find yourself caring about other people?

Depends what you mean by "care about". I have no interest in gossip, social drama or people's private affairs so...I'm of no use to anybody in that regard and nobody brings me that sort of stuff.

I enjoy being around those with whom I share an interest - with regard to that interest - but I don't interrogate them with regard to their private lives or take them home with me.

I don't want anything from anybody and most are stymied by that. Most have no clue what to do with somebody who doesn't want anything from them. It tends to make them feel as if they don't have anything to "bargain" with. Which they don't, from my perspective, because I don't care if they're a senator or an ax murderer - if they have a new idea about utilizing the immense power of a rocket stove, I'm 100% onboard but if they're looking for a cheerleader, gossip, a boost to their self-esteem, "moral support" or a shoulder to cry on, I'm the last person anybody would come to for that sort of thing more than once.

I'm completely and utterly useless - socially. If you need a solution to a problem/"puzzle", I'm your gal. Which is why I come here - for the puzzles. But, of course, most here are "normal" and don't actually want solutions as much as they want a way to dodge the consequences of clinging to something they're not willing to let go of...or somebody to kiss their booboo for which I am of no use whatsoever.
