2664 and I would love GTA V

Hello. For the past one and a half years i've been slowly anticipating the release of GTA: V on PC. I've seen advertisement and hype for this game everywhere from subway and bus ads to the front page of Youtube and Reddit and there is no doubt in my mind that there is no game thats been released or has yet to be released that will match up to my excitement for the release of GTA: V on PC. Honestly, i've been wanting this game so bad for so long. The only time i've actually played the game has been for 45 or so minutes on one of my dorm roomates PS3 and i have to say that i loved absolutely every second of it. So with so little play time, why do i want GTA: V? Well, for two main reasons, i absolutely love the GTA series. I've grown up with GTA, i've spent hundreds of hours on these games over the course of a decade. And because, have you seen the game? A thriving online mode, hundreds of things to do, a deep and meaningful campaign mode, amazing and detailed graphics, honestly the list could go on forever. This game is just about as revolutionary to the GTA series as 3 was. They took Grand Theft Auto to a whole new level with this game and i absolutely want to experience it. I want to travel back to Los Santos (i've played GTA: San Andres, my all time favorite game), i want to go back and see Grove Street, i want to play in first person, and i want to finally mod the shit out of it! There is so much i'd love to do in this game. My passion for GTA first started back in 2002 when i got my first PS2. I bought my PS2 back in 2002ish and it served me immensely well for a good 10 or so years. The only reason i was even able to afford it was because of my grades. My school at the time had this program were during the school year were they payed you based on how well your grades and during the summer they paid you for attendance. My family and I were pretty poor at the time so the money usually went straight to help pay for the bills and groceries but i guess my parents realized that i should be seeing some of the money as well and bought me a PS2 and with it one of the hottest games out at the time, GTA: Vice City. This was gift was sincerely one of the best gifts i have ever received. I put dozens and dozens of hours into my PS2 and Vice City. God, it was just so amazing and revolutionary for its time. I remember one of the most mind-blowing things about the game was being able to fly in a helicopter. In one of the missions you go attack this rich guys house and you steal his helicopter and just riding that baby was absolutely amazing. I had never seen such a vast and open world before and to top it all of i could FLY A MOTHERFUCKING HELICOPTER IN IT! I was absolutely hooked, it was my favorite game of all time. That is, until San Andres came out. San Andres, is VERY VERY easily my favorite game of all time. When i first got it, i was flabbergasted by the graphics and amount of shit you could do. You could go to bars, play pool, play arcade games, RIDE BICYCLES, freaking fly actual planes (OTHER THAN THAT FUCKING DODO BIRD IN VICE CITY) and don't even get me started about the map. The map is HUGE! Theres Los Santos, San fierro, and Las Ventures and each city was unique with its gangs and overall ambiance. Out of everything in this game, what i loved the most was the story line. This wasn't some mindless shoot'em up were your just an ordinary gangbanger whose looking to expand his gang, it was emotional, it was suspenseful, it was simply amazing. The story revolves around CJ, the brother of the leader of the Grove Street Gang, who just returned from Liberty City to Los Santos. CJ just returned after the death of his mother and is looking to find a place and bring order to the Grove Street Gang. Overall, his story is heart wrenching and emotional. All throughout i really felt for CJ, the game kept me on my toes emotionally, and there were so many twists and turns that really kept the story suspenseful and interesting. This game wasn't just a bland third person shoot'em up, i was empathetic throughout, i found myself caring and feeling for CJ that just wasn't normal for a video game character. Overall, GTA: San Andres was basically the last GTA game i've ever played and my all time favorite game. I've been looking forward to GTA: V for so long because to me its basically represents a next-gen version of San Andres. A San Andres with improved graphics, more things to do, a new and great story line, all still in Los Santos, a city that i've found myself growing up in. GTA: V to me is a next-gen nostalgia trip, i'll finally be able to go back to Los Santos and play in the city i've loved once more. Besides my obvious sentiment towards the Grand Theft Auto franchise, the reason i want to play this game is because its simply astonishing. From the graphics to the open world, The world is so gorgeous and lifelike and the gameplay looks fantastic and revolutionary. I also love the online mode (which sadly San Andres never had) and the increased life-likeness of the world. Overall, it has everything i loved about GTA: San Andres uped by a factor of 10x (well mabye not the the story line, i'll have to see about that if i win!) I've never owned a console after the PS2 and thats mostly due to money problems. I don't really want to delve into this sob story of poverty but to cut to it, i've been poor most of my life and right now with tuiton bills for schools piling up, i honestly don't have enough to spend for this game. I was never able to play GTA IV or any GPU intensive games after the discontinuation of the PS2 due to a lack of a console or gaming PC. And even the not so GPU intensive steam games i played, i played in 20fps or less. This all changed about a couple of months ago. Around December/Januaryish i was able to build a new computer out of spare parts from my roomates/friends coupled with some a GTX 750 Ti that i bought. I know its not the best GPU in the world but it runs games amazingly for my needs. Anyway, this is the first time that i've been able to play triple AAA titles and i would kill for the chance to play GTA: V and now with a decent gaming PC, the opportunity to mod it too!!
