Fair points, actually, very much so. And to be fair to this guy, as far as pig behavior goes this is very far down on the scale. He thought I was gay, I've interacted very friendly and openly with him (at his house on a couple of jobs– my job involves "outside calls") because honestly I like him well enough as a person, he's kind of dorky and earnest in an unintentionally goofy way which gives me the feels for him, like, "aw, how cute, you're trying so hard to be a hipster, here then, have some of my friendliness", so I'm intentionality nice to him, etc. I don't want to promote stereotypes so anybody please correct if I'm wrong but I suspect there's still a segment of gay male hookup culture where this type of thing is normal-ish? He took a chance, and at least part of his instinct was correct because I wasn't actually offended. Amused, yes; offended, no. Gay stuff between guys! Look! A rainbow!
(And wow, speaking of pigs, I stumbled on r/nice guys the other day. Oh. my. god. Could only read through a page of it before I had to stop. This, my own encounter, was nothing. Guy stuff between guys (well, between one guy and one pretend guy anyway). In other words, he's not a psycho.)
