No covid 19 admin leave for regulars?

My steward and I have communicated several times today after my sick leave dependent care was changed to all annual leave sometime in the last 2 days. It was initially on the virtual timecard correctly but when I checked this morning i saw I’m being charged annual leave. My steward is telling me management is saying it’s because I’m not sick, and my parents aren’t either. I however have medical documentation stating that as I help them with all daily living my working leads to additional exposure to the virus which in turn puts them at risk considering their “significant medical conditions” as the doctor wrote. My steward was also in communication with someone from national who stated “employees may use sick leave whether they choose to self quarantine, regardless if it’s based on a doctors recommendation or whether they are sick or have symptoms” my branch president is apparently disagreeing with national and my steward on this sadly and causing this to be far more stressful than needed at this time. The bottom line is management has shown their true colors (as if they don’t usually but this is extreme) and generally the union is fighting for us as difficult as this is.
