I really don’t like parents taking excessive photos of their kids or all but preening themselves in photos with their kids. “Look at muh brood! I am fertile! I am strongg!” It’s gross seeing how self-congratulatory they are (and how apparently clueless they are about what they’ve signed the kids up for).

Relatedly, have you ever been to people’s funerals after they’ve suffered through some hideous final illness or a horrific accident and looked at all the pictures on display from when they were a baby? You ever think to yourself “that poor laughing kid had no clue what was headed their way.” Bleak thoughts, yes, but all too true.
