No Man's Sky has such narrow FOV it looks as if you're constantly zoomed-in

That's why people are being negative about the game now. They have shown all there is to offer, and there doesn't seem to be much there.

With the not so super high quality textures, and very noticeable pop-in. The fact that you'll likely never see another player, and it being quite a bit shorter than the dev team originally said it would be. Has meant the hype train has come to a screaming halt for a lot of people. Gamers have been burnt too many times before, especially when it is such a small dev team, and no reviews going up until launch. It does get those red lights and alarms ringing.

I don't think the game will be bad, from the look of it, the sound design is amazing. I just think it won't have the mass appeal they are aiming for. For those who like games where wandering around and exploring is 90% of the content, they'll be happy. For people expecting any kind of storyline, or multiplayer, or even to see amazing new exciting worlds after they have been to a dozen planets and see that things start to repeat, they'll be let down by not getting what they believe the game hyped itself up to be.

People need to think of this as an awesome indie game. The full price however doesn't help reign people's expectations in though
