no matter how bad a sub is, as long as there isn’t illegal stuff posted, it should never get banned

It's a fair point and I don't like the crying to the teacher nature of some of it but at the end of the day Reddit, like YouTube and Twitter is a privately owned corporation that we agree to follow a code of conduct when we use. At the end of the day Reddit isn't obligated to let anyone have a discussion that they feel breaches the terms of service set out on their platform similar to how a public library or cafe isn't going to let people have loud debates about the morals of rape on their premises. People can argue about free speech all the way but at the end of the day if someone was sitting in my house saying shit I'm not happy with I wouldn't exactly be clapping them on going "aye free country mate on yersel"
