No meat, no eggs allowed on India's first vegetarian train

This just shows your ignorance about the cultural norms of India.

Cow is sacred in Hinduism because it gives milk, ghee, butter etc which are foods offered to the Gods. If you decide not to use diary products, then that 'sacredness' is moot. Religious rituals mandate heavy use of milk, ghee, butter etc. So you are not going to convince any Hindu that believes cow is sacred to give up diary products. Only the killing and eating of cow is prohibited.

This is also why only 'cow slaughter' is a religious issue, while bulls are slaughtered freely even at birth. There is also nothing against killing buffalos, which accounts for most of the industrial meat farms in India.

Like I said, I dont mind that you dont know any of it since you probably dont have much exposure to Indian culture and Hinduism. However the arrogance and contempt in your words, despite being ignorant on the subject, comes across pretty to colonial 'white man's burden' attitudes towards Indians.
