[No Spoilers] Critical Role on Twitter about The Search For Grog VOD

This weekend at the art show, (and online after, but obviously art show buyers get it early) there are art prints on sale, one of Vox Machina, one of the Mighty Nein.

There were...complaints, about different aspects of the Mighty Nein art. But the main focus was that Beau is...very white in it. Lots of people look to Beau for representation, she's canonically non-white too, so...they weren't pleased. From what I personally saw, the majority were just disappointed and voiced sadness, rather than throw insults, but I've heard that some apparently exist. (I just can't attest to it m'self)

Obviously since Crit Role, and the cast, are very accepting and inclusive, a lot of people are touchy to these subjects. Plenty of people are used to getting a bit fucked over by their heroes, so were scared this would go down the same route for them.

It's past now. They put out a tweet after all the complaints, saying that the online orders would be altered to better fit her original artwork. However all the prints you can get at the art show, are already done, so they feature white Beau.

Some people think it's good that they listened and changed it, others think this is them 'giving an inch' and they lost some integrity through it, so there was a bit of fandom clashing over that.

This is just meant to inform by the way, I don't want to kick off any more issues here, just explaining the overview of the situation.

As noted at the end of the day, it's just, to me...sad that such controversies and issues are happening, on the lead up to what should be a great event. I'm sure it still will be, but it's a shame it's ended up a bit marred.
