[NO SPOILERS] Daenatrix

I’ll start by saying I am the biggest Daenerys fan ever. She is my favorite fictional character of all time. I am fully obsessed, so don’t come for me - just hear me out. To love Daenerys’ character, is to appreciate her for what she was.

That said, imo, Daenerys’ entire character arc is an exploration of innocence into tyranny. It is meant to showcase the complexity of tyranny, how dictators go from heroes to villains. Daenerys suffered greed for power, as is so easy to do. She was an antihero in my book by the end of S1.

For me, Daenerys is a highlight of how easily rational and decent people can fall victim to an obsession for power, AND at the same time, how easily people will follow and love tyrants because they want to believe there is someone good and like-minded to fight for/with them.

Daenerys is such a complex and well-executed character. It’s why she’s of my favorite to be honest.
