You really, really should watch the show. The stories arc starting from Season 2 (Season 1 is kinda of childish and has less quality compared to other seasons, just like TLA) are absolutely amazing, the fight choreography is splendid, characters are not as charismatic as the Avatar Team but they are still loveable and have very good development (specially Ahsoka), there is a bunch of interesting mythology, locations and villains.
I don't need to tell you how awesome, incredible this show is because if you ask any fan of cartoons what is the best cartoon of all time a or see a top ten list, they will answers you either ATLA or this show. Even though it is in the 90's, this show somehow is so magical that you can enjoy it like it was made yesterday. It has everything: awesome characters, great story arcs (won awards), incredible voice acting, mythos, stories, everything. This is the cartoon that started everything. The most standout feature is the voice acting of Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) as the Joker and his hilarious dialogues written by Paul Dini.
Pretty much, what I said about TAS, but with a little less glory and exuberance. This show has good characters, great story arcs, the dialogues are just as good as the ones in TAS, and if you are a DC fan you will love it for sure. If you are not, now's the time to start.
Way weaker then Clone Wars, but still very enjoyable and the characters start to grow on you just like in ATLA. The storylines really begin to improve in Season 1 Finale.
