I like the show as well, but people get way too emotional about it. All you need to do is look at what I said. I said a fictional place wasn’t real-that was literally all I said-and got (so far) 28 down votes? If that’s not an irrational reaction then Im not sure I know what is. It’s basically saying “f*ck you” to a speaker from the crowd. No real cognitive effort, just people led around by their basest emotions. I feel like that’s everywhere today. People have been reduced to bumper stickers. You’re on this team, or that team. This isn’t relegated to THT, obviously, but it’s very indicative of current public discourse: if you say anything that deviates from the herd you’re pilloried, whether you agree with 90% of what they think, doesn’t matter.
