Likewise. I had a dog growing up that I'll preface by saying wasn't all that bright named Ozzy, the same dog that jumped out the window of a moving car to chase a deer that he spotted in a field. It didn't take long before he disappeared into the tree line and we spent hours looking for him, and mind you this was way out in BFE in the foothills of Appalachia so ten year old me was just devastated, and I wasn't at all hopeful that I'd ever see my loving friend and protector ever again. Luckily I was wrong, and by the time we finally found him limping down the road we were convinced that the only reason he gave up was because the bottoms of his paws looked like raw hamburger. The poor bastard had quite the recovery from it too.

Anyway, if some dogs get it in their heads that they need to catch something they won't stop until they absolutely have to. After clicking this video I recognized that demeanor instantly, and the first thing I did was check his paws for boots of some sort :/
