I will say this again as maybe you might have some trouble understanding this. I have no problem with the government spending money on increasing women safety. I don't care about the money. I want the government to take that money and put it in things that would have actual results, not this.

700 crore was the cost estimate given by the government but of course it would be much higher.

Metro might be a bit expensive but the buses are cheap as hell. I don't see why women can't use them. As i said before, increasing women only buses and increasing marshals in buses would improve the safety of women. I don't see why you would need to give free rides to increase ridership in public transport. Most people understand when you use a service you need to pay for it. Delhi metro and bus system is overloaded as shit right now. We need to get more buses and more metros so that everyone including women can travel more comfortably.
