No wonder people are switching to F2P (YDCB Summoning Session)

It's depressing seeing all the sensible posts being downvoted. May as well add to the pile.

  • No one on this sub appears to have a basic understanding of probability or psychology. Streaks of bad luck are not sufficient evidence that rates have been nerfed, and confirmation bias is a thing. I pulled Anavel, Perna and Betta in the last month in less than 150 summons. OMG GUYS THE RATES HAVE BEEN BUFFED

  • This is one of the few games of its ilk where paying never guarantees you either rune or summon success over those who aren't, it just gives you more chances. And people want to kill that? If you are guaranteed a nat 4/ 5 every X summons, you hurt F2P the most because of the insane amount of money many P2P are prepared to drop on this game. Sure, F2P get a few more nice units, but that no longer means anything because P2P will have collected all the nat 4 in the first 6 months.

  • This entire game is based on gambling. The rune drops, the power up system, the battles themselves (hello violent meta) and yes - the summons. EVERYTHING in this game is about collecting resources and then gambling them away. You are asking to change the most fundamental aspect of the game. It's not going to happen, because the developers realise the thrill of gambling is, whether you want to admit it or not, what makes the game so fundamentally enjoyable.

Now if you want to argue that the prices should be lowered, I can absolutely get behind that. Most packs are a rip-off. But removing the element of randomness is not a quick-fix, nor will it actually solve the community's problems as a whole. People don't just become satisfied because they're given more. Once the novelty wears off the complaints will shift from "wah no nat 5s" to "wah, I didn't get X nat 5"

tl;dr stop trying to defy logic because of your personal frustrations.
