Noam Chomsky: AI Isn't Coming For Us All, You Idiots

>We determine that something is "true" once it reaches a certain probability threshold too.

This claim is itself inferred from extremely sketchy theories from neuroscience, often fed through the blender of pop science and propped up by people who have an ideological ax to grind over vaguely cog sci/neuro "explanations" trouncing any other non-computationalist account of human knowledge.

This kind of skepticism undermines itself. Just because the **inference** "if human brains use probability thresholds, then they have something important in common with MLL" is true, doesn't at all mean that cherrypicking third-hand neuroscience makes a good case for the antecedent being true, in itself.
