Noam Chomsky | How Come we Live in Open Society with a lot of Information and yet we Know so Little?

People know more today than they ever have in human history. And that goes for scientific and cultural knowledge, as well as knowledge of current events and politics.

Bill Gates' vision in the 80s was for a "computer in every house." Today there's a computer in every pocket and it's connected to every other computer, and the sum of all human knowledge.

It's there for the taking. Anyone who wants to read about fantasy ideologies like anarcho-syndicalism can. Anyone who wants to read propaganda histories like Howard Zinn can. People just choose not to invest their precious short lives reading prescriptions for the future which we know will never work from people like Chomsky.
