Given the mafia-esque behavior of Trump and his suggestions of horrific acts on the daily, there's reason to believe not every Republican was being opportunistic. Not the whole of the GOP was complicit, but certainly those with the most power. If you examine state legislatures, Congress, State officials, it's just unlikely all of them are complicit simply because they opted for self preservation. We are in agreement about the problem and it's severity, I just don't think it's quite yet safe to say that the entire GOP is culpable even morally. That could be true though and I welcome that reality but I don't welcome the shit storm that comes with it.
