Nobody is going anywhere in any kind of SHTF situation.

Mm true. But the one guy who holds up hundreds of other cars is kinda at fault if he's driving at the posted 30MPH speed in SHTF, or bailed out of his car in front of everyone else, or similar situations.

People will be dumb regardless, especially in a high stress scenario. I just hope those kinds of people just stay home and hunker down when something happens instead of letting tons of people be affected by them.

Kinda like when war broke out in Ukraine, the front two cars exiting main cities were all going like <20MPH for some bs reason. Like tf? The Russians are invading and blasting people, and you're going as slow as a slug "to obey the speed limit" and holding up hundreds if not thousands of other vehicles behind you? I really don't get humans sometimes. It really agitated and extremely surprised me that people weren't intentionally breaking speeding laws even by a small bit.

I've also looked at people who recorded themselves driving through roads engulfed by fire on both sides in California, glossing over the situation like a dramatic scene in a play, and they're going only like 25MPH instead of flooring it, while they're literally getting baked alive and almost die at the end.

Most people don't seem to act with urgency even in dire situations which strikes me so odd. Awe effect perhaps?

Then the opposite happens where people completely overreact and cause a stampede just from one guy shouting "gun!" in a crowd.

I really don't have faith in humanity going forward tbh.
