Non-event skins please.

Unless Blizzard opens up skinning to the community (which surely they will because it's free money in a sense and great for artists all over), I think this is as fast as we can get skins.

They only have so many people on the art team, and they've also had to outsource large parts of each event for artists to create the base skins and ideas, or the entire skin altogether (minus the model rigging and minor adjustments).
I didn't actually know this until I stumbled upon some portfolios that had summer event skins inside, and the guy didn't work at Blizzard but rather did the project just for the event, so I was like dang they actually do have to outsource for help on these.

Ultimately we have to hope that Blizzard is working on a system long-term to allow for community members to submit skins for approval and use in-game, though the thing that complicates this I imagine is that, unlike a game like DOTA, skins are not bought directly, so how do you compensate the original artist who submitted it? You can't exactly give them a share of lootboxes.

Perhaps community skins will be directly purchasable in addition to coming in lootboxes, for this to work. We'll see.
